Morning Mantra: “Trauma teaches you to close your heart and armor up.  Healing teaches you to open your heart and boundary up.”

The universe will keep handing you the same lessons, the same relationships, the same type of love and the same type of pain until you realize the common denominator is you. Until you’re finally tired of your own patterns. Until you finally love yourself enough to raise your standards, set some boundaries and believe you are worthy of holding them. Until you learn to love yourself enough to heal you will continue to accept the love that is a mirror to how you currently feel about yourself.

You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept. And those are called boundaries.  If anyone is offended by your boundaries, then they’re probably one of the reasons that you needed them. Love yourself enough to set boundaries. 

It is essential to remind yourself that true healing requires time and compassion. Just as a physical wound needs time to mend, emotional healing takes time to leave its mark on your heart and soul. So don’t get upset at yourself if it takes time to open up.

No person is 100% healed. Because healing isn’t linear. We go backwards and forwards and sometimes we’re all over the place; but that’s the process. Please don’t think you need to be 100% healed to deserve love and good things in life, because you absolutely do.
