Oh, TextExpander. The software, the myth, the legend. If you haven’t heard of TextExpander by now, get ready to be amazed. TextExpander is a software program that allows you to create text shortcuts that automatically, instantly expand into pre-defined pieces of information, paragraphs, images, or documents. I use TextExpander to write emails, write reports, sign reports, fill out forms, and many other tasks. During the episode today, I’m talking about a few of the ways you can use TextExpander in your testing practice. These include:

  • Inserting diagnostic codes
  • Using drop down menus to write results sections quickly
  • Populating recommendations
  • Signing reports
  • Embedding snippets within snippets
