ताराचन्द-वख्तमलनामानौ गुरुहरिगोविन्दशिष्यौ गुरवे अश्वौ उपायनीकर्तुं स्वस्थानात् यदा प्रस्थितवन्तौ तदा मध्यमार्गे यवनराजः शाहजहानः अश्वौ वशीकृत्य तौ शिष्यौ ताडयित्वा च प्रेषितवान् । प्रवृत्तं सर्वं विदित्वा अन्यः कश्चन शिष्यः विधिचन्दः अश्वौ आनेतुं प्रतिज्ञाम् अकरोत् । शूरः उपायचतुरः च सः विधिचन्दः केनोपायेन अश्वौ अपहृत्य गुरोः हरिगोविन्दवर्यस्य पुरतः प्रत्यक्षः भवति इति पश्यामः ।

Tarachand and Vakhtmal, two disciples of Guru Harigovind, set out with the intention of gifting two horses to their Guru. On the way, Shah Jahan seized their horses, beat them, and sent them back.
