When I stumbled upon Anna Heimkreiter’s work on the web, I was immediately drawn to her beautiful art and the intriguing concept of feminine archetypes. Her website offered a feminine archetypes quiz to discover which one resonates with you. Turns out I am the Huntress archetype. No surprise there, given my love for freedom and independence!

Anna discovered these feminine archetypes on her journey of self-discovery and artistic expression. They are symbolic representations of divine feminine traits and roles, offering insights into diverse expressions of femininity that can guide personal growth.

She focuses on just seven archetypes, each one holding its own unique beauty and complexity:

1. Mother: Loving, nurturing, warm and supportive
2. Maiden: Curious, growth-oriented, innocent, and playful
3. Huntress: Independent and free, strong, and courageous
4. Mystic: Intuitive, insightful, calm, and balanced
5. Queen: Leader, personal power, confident, and uplifting
6. Sage: Self-mastery, clarity, rational, and wise
7. Lover: Passionate, intimate, magnetic, and sensual

Exploring Archetypes

Anna’s journey into the world of feminine archetypes began five years ago when a friend introduced her to masculine archetypes. This sparked her curiosity, and she went on to delve deeply into understanding the feminine side.

She resonated with the concept of the seven archetypes and found inspiration through Jean Shinoda Bolen’s book, Goddesses in Older Women, which explains these archetypes in connection to Greek mythology.

Her exploration led her to create an illustration series representing seven archetypes, the 7 feminine archetype quiz, and her archetype workbooks for self-exploration. Anna believes these feminine models help us understand ourselves better and inspire growth and empowerment.
