Three western PA school districts sue over cultural indoctrination mandates -- and win

The "Faith Under Fire" podcast from Family Life News

Two years ago, Governor Wolf's Education Department enacted mandates, requiring teachers and students to buy-into certain popular cultural beliefs.  A group of school districts, teachers and families sued, and won a legal challenge against those state guidelines.

Butler attorney Thomas Breth worked with the Thomas More Society on behalf of the Mars, Laurel and Penncrest school districts and other involved citizens. These plaintiffs sued Department of Education for violating Pennsylvania law, including when those "guidelines" were tied to state money for local schools.

Breth tells Family Life's Greg Gillispie that the win is a victory for local control of local schools, and an inspiration to others who are opposed to the liberal drift of their government. He says even a relatively small group of concerned citizens can bring about change in governmental policies.
