Episode 703 Published 1 year, 5 months ago
Description
Get into the holiday spirit with A musical Christmas Carol at the Pittsburgh CLO! In this episode, actor Charles Shaughnessy, and CLO Director of Education Jim Scriven, discuss their upcoming production of A Musical Christmas Carol, running December 13th to 22nd at the Byham Theater. Shaughnessy, who plays Ebenezer Scrooge, discusses his take on the iconic character, and how the timeless story of redemption continues to resonate. Jim also talks about the students of CLO's Academy of Musical Theatre that had the opportunity to audition for roles in this production and perform alongside seasoned professionals like Shaughnessy. Both highlight the partnership between students and professionals, which helps provide real-world experience to the students and injects a youthful energy into the show for the professionals who might also need a little Christmas spirit. There will be a sensory-friendly performance on December 21st at 10 am, aimed at making the theater experience accessible to everyone.
