Description

In this great short story, a young woman from the Denver area is lamenting her situation after having come to Chicago to find work, finding that three weeks of searching has left her with only 11 dollars, and she is feeling homesick. She sits down in a lounge and sees an older woman holding a Denver newspaper and crying, and thinking that they both were missing home and that the older woman could use a friendly word, she approaches her and tries to comfort her.
