When he was a teenager, James Franko from California began experiencing hip pain. He was eventually diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a severe form of arthritis, that has fused his spine creating a hunched over posture and reducing his height by four inches. He said he was on the edge of suicide until cannabis came into the picture giving him a reason to live.
