Alana Bliss, permaculture teacher, homebirth doula, co-founder of Fruition Center for Holistic Ecology and Green Guilds Ecological Design is with me tonight discussing "The Psychedelic Nature of Birth".  Alana was a contributor to the new anthology, Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine, and I found her contributions most enlightening and insightful.  Tonight we'll discuss a few of her essays but in particular the one mentioned.  We'll delve into how birth is a psychedelic experience, how she overcame her fear of giving birth, what a conscious birth is and how the sacred feminine is strengthened by it, as well as related topics.
