In this episode, we welcome cinematographer Julio Macat, ASC. Julio shot movies including Home Alone, Wedding Crashers, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Miracle on 34th Street, The Nutty Professor, Crazy in Alabama, A Walk to Remember, Pitch Perfect, After the Wedding, and the “Fatal Attraction” series. In our chat, Julio shares about his youth, early cinematic inspirations, and experiences working as a cinematographer on many of the most successful films in our time. In addition, he talks about the making of Home Alone — and offers many insights about cinematography and filmmaking in general.
