To there shock, Quinn, Rembrandt, and The Professor are immediatly taken by the authorities and forced into goverment programs designed to repopulate society, while wade struggles to navigate a society driven by desperation and gender imbalance.

Along the way, they encounter resistance movements, hiddens secrets about this worlds genetic experiments, and questions freedom vs obligations.

With the stakes higher than ever, the team faces moral dilemmas, unexpected allies, and their own personal boundaries in a world turned upside-down. Will they escape in time, or will this dystopia claim them as part of its future?
