On Fix It 101 we encourage DIY solutions when appropriate but sometimes the job calls for a certified contractor. The Mississippi Housing Institute provides education, both online and classroom courses to keep contractors certified here in the state of Mississippi. Today we speak with executive director of the MS Housing Institute, Kim Jent about their programs and why hiring certified builders and re-modelers helps everyone involved with the industry.
