This week, the United States, under President Joe Biden, abstained from an anti-Israel UN Security Council Resolution, thus allowing it to pass. The resolution, calling on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, failed to condemn Hamas and failed to include an Israeli hostage release as part of the ceasefire.
