We have traded our domination in math, science, and reading for anxiety, depression, bullying, suicide and snapchat...but as the Lord once told his audience..."In the beginning, it was not so."

Kerry McDonald is an education policy writer, an unschooling advocate, and a homeschooling mother. She received her B.A. in Economics from Bowdoin College and an M.Ed. in education policy from Harvard University. Her work has appeared in Forbes, Newsweek, NPR, Education Next, Natural Mother Magazine, FEE.org, and Intellectual Takeout, among others.
