Today, Larry goes one on one with Bill Ford, Woodbine’s General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Racing, who discusses his role at Woodbine and what it entails and some of the challenges of the Woodbine Thoroughbred meet this year. He also mentions how he became part of the the horse racing industry and talks about some of the key positions that he has held and whether there are any projects that Woodbine will be undertaing, that he is able to share.; Kawartha Down’s newest Harness Racing Manager Lindsay Bax, who talks about her new position and why Kawartha remains very important to the Ontario Harness Racing industry. She also discusses how she became so involved in Harness Racing, as it was the family business and mentions why when she was going to University, she never thought that she would ever end up working in the Horse Racing industry.; Jockey Agent Madison Meli, who talks about how she ended up as a Jock’s Agent at Fort Erie, which led her to representing Jockey Edgar Zentano. She also discusses how when growing up, there was always an interest in horses and how now she is also currently going to University to become an Elementary School Teacher.

In our newest regular feature,‘Road Trip’, Larry talks about today’s Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs and mentions about some of the history behind the race itself and who he believes the race ‘goes through’ today. He also provides his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American Racetracks, later on in the show.

Lindsay also talks about how her family was very involved in Harness Racing and discusses some of the positions that she has held in the racing industry since graduating from University. She also mentions why when she did graduate from University, she never really thought that she would end up with a career in the Horse Racing.

● Madison discusses how she ended up at Fort Erie as an Agent for Jockey Edgar Zentano and how growing up in Fort Erie , she has always been interested in Horse Racng. She also talks about how she became more involved in Horse Racing by helping her father who is a Trainer and Blacksmith at Fort Erie and how she would assist him in finding horses that would be good claims. Madison also discusses how she is currently enrolled at Brock University and is studying to become an Elementary Teacher and mentions where she sees herself in five years and 10 years and whether there is a chance that she may add another Jockey to her ‘stable’ next season
