Aurum Metallicum is a remedy commonly used for depression, but in this week’s podcast Sue talks about how it is a child constitutional remedy.  Aurum Metallicum is “Gold”.  This remedy is within the baryta carbonica child constitutional type, this remedy falls in as a subcategory remedy.    The child that needs this remedy will show these symptoms around 5-7 years old and have tendencies toward “sullenness.” Quietly sad, low spirited, lifeless – and they lack “go.”  Sometimes the depression and hopelessness can be sudden as well.  Aurum Metallicum is also one of the best antidotes to mercurial overdosing.
