Shep Hyken interviews Maxine Clark, the Founder and former Chief Executive Bear at Build-A-Bear Workshops. Maxine opened her first store in 1997 when a ten-year-old girl suggested she open a store where kids could "build" their own teddy bears. The successful chain grew to more than 400 stores worldwide. That story by itself is amazing, but Maxine shares much more as she talks about her background, role models who influenced her, tough decisions she has made and her belief in giving back.
