Ep 25 Praying More These Days? That Can Only Be Good

Episode 35 Published 6 years ago
Description

Do you ever say, "All I can do is pray!" And then forget to pray?! And isn't that thinking the wrong way around? The most anyone can do is pray. I forget that all too often.

Some thoughts on the goodness of prayer:

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” – Oswald Chambers

God's interested in what He does in the person praying as much as the answer to that prayer.

“God can handle your doubt, anger, fear, grief, confusion, and questions. You can bring everything to him in prayer.” – Rick Warren

There's no surprising our Heavenly Father with our innermost thoughts and griefs and frustrations - so he welcomes us to come to Him day in and day out, like a good, good Father.

“Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.” – E.M Bounds

I can't get over that thought: our prayers outlive us. Sounds like legacy living. Makes me want to pray more, you too?

"It is possible to move men, through God, by prayer alone.” – Hudson Taylor

I like this quote the most. Sometimes my man needs my prayer much more than my words. (All the time?) And much more can be accomplished. Amen? Amen.
