Welcome to Chronicles of Old Singapore. Maria Yap was in the education service from 1973 to 2023. She recalls her early struggles as a beginning teacher and how she learned to manage students. She gives her views on the streaming policy and teaching students from the Normal stream, whom she found to be very intelligent.
