OG 294: CFP math won't work for SEC & B1G | NFL Lightning Round | Necas on all-time Canes heater | Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson and all of us

Episode 363 Published 1 year, 5 months ago
Description

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open up the show with an OG Sports Phone call highlighting an overall good weekend for local sports. After highlighting how things have turned around for Mack Brown and UNC, they get into how the CFP math isn't working out for the ACC. Meanwhile, the SEC and B1G can complain about strength of schedule comparisons, but the real issue is nobody in college football is prepared to talk about the playoff the way basketball fans already understand how the NCAA Tournament works - it's about who you beat. In the NFL Lightning Round, the Carolina Panthers enjoyed an open week and a few "Tell Me Something Good" moments. Did the Bills actually accomplish anything in beating the Chiefs? Are the Steelers legit good? And will Aaron Rodgers go out sad? Speaking of sad -- it's sad we were all drawn to the Jake Paul spectacle against Mike Tyson. What pulled us in? And will Netflix have enough time to fix their glitchy live broadcast in time for the NFL?
