Dr. Omar Farooq is a general surgeon at Fort Saskatchewan Hospital in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He did his MBBS in Punjab Medical College in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He then went on to do his internship at Case Western in Cleveland, general surgery resident at the University of Saskatchewan, and MIS fellowship at McMaster.
In this episode, we hear his experiences as an International Medical Graduate (IMG). Dr. Farooq shares his advice for IMG's on navigating the system, as well as how we could potentially make the system better.
