THE DEVIL USES DIFFERENT TACTICS TO DESTROY SPIRIT-FILLED CHRISTIANS. ONE OF THESE IS TO DRAW US FROM GOD USING THOSE CLOSEST TO US! JESUS’ FAMILY LIKE JOB’S WIFE WAS USED TO SIDETRACK HIM FROM HIS MISSION

Job 2:7-9

So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. 8And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. 9¶Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Luke 2:48-49

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Luke 6:12-13

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13¶And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles

ACCORDING TO THE GOSPEL OF MARK IT IS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ALL NIGHT PRAYER THAT THE ENEMY DECIDED TO ATTACK HIM THROUGH HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Mark 3:21

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

Mark 3:31-35

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. 32And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. 33And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 35For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

THE DEVIL BLINDED HIS BROTHERS AND FILLED THEM WITH HIS ENVY AND HATRED. IT WAS ONLY AFTER HIS RESURRECTION THAT GOD LIFTED THE VEIL AND THEY BELIEVED ON HIM. SOME OF OUR RELATIVES THAT GIVE US A HARD TIME ARE TO BE PITED FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW THEY ARE BEING USED BY THE ENEMY.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

John 7:2-7

Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. 3His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. 4For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. DON’T DESPAIR IF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR CALLING JUST PRAY FOR THEM GOD WILL VISIT THEM AND SAVE THEM. JAMES THE BROTHER OF JESUS BECAME THE FIRST LEADER OF THE JERUSALEM CHRISTIAN CONFERENCE. HE WROTE THE BOOK OF JAMES AND HIS BROTHER JUDE ALSO WROTE THE NEW TESTAMENT BOOK CALLED BY HIS NAME. NEVER TIRE OF PRAYING FOR ALL PEOPLE ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT OF THE SAME FAITH WITH YOU.
