New Film Salutes History of Military Chaplains

Episode 257 Published 1 year, 6 months ago
Description
On Veterans Day weekend, a new film arrives in theaters, Fighting Spirit: A Combat Chaplain’s Journey. Executive produced by actor Chris Pratt. The documentary commemorates the unsung heroes of the U.S. military: combat chaplains. For nearly 250 years, uniformed combat chaplains have provided their service in every U.S. battle. They are unarmed combatants though they may make the ultimate sacrifice. Fighting Spirit -- the first co-production between Hollywood and the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps – showcases the important work that chaplains provide to every branch of the military while armed with only their faith. To discuss the film, we have award-winning director/producer Rich Hull and retired U.S. Army chaplain Jeff Struecker who served in various Airborne and Ranger units and was inducted into the Ranger Hall of Fame.
