DANIEL WAS A WONDER AS A STATESMAN, HE CONTINUE TO HOLD HIGH GOVERNMENT POSITIONS UNDER DIFFERENT KINGS OF OPPOSING EMPIRES. FROM NEBUCHADNEZZAR AND HIS SONS OF THE BABYLONIAN EMPIRE TO DARIUS AND CYRUS OF THE MEDES AND PERSIANS.

Daniel 1:20-21

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. 21And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.

Daniel 2:48-49

Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. 49Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

Daniel 6:28

So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”

Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭

“Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.”

If God’s word were studied as it should be, men would have a breadth of mind, a nobility of character, and a stability of purpose rarely seen in these times. – {Steps to Christ p. 90.1}

O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 99I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
