Love Your Enemies

Episode 311 Published 1 year, 5 months ago
Description

In Matthew 5:43–45, Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

We're given the commandment to love our enemies and to look for opportunities to bless them. Many people don't know what they're doing, just as Jesus said once about the people during His crucifixion.

People today will never know God's goodness until they experience it through us, His people. We know it's impossible to love our enemies, and we don't want to bless those who hurt us. However, it is possible to do these things through the strength of God's Holy Spirit within us. Talk to God about it.

It's time to pray.
