How to Sleep Even When It's Too Hot to Sleep
Description
Why can you not sleep when it is hot, and can you catch it up at the weekend? You cannot. Sleep is a skill, and most of us were never taught it.
Cool the room down first. We are not built to sleep at twenty one degrees. I put a cold flannel on my forehead, which looks ridiculous and works. Waking in the night is normal, it is your body checking you are safe, so do not reach for the phone to see the time. Most of us get to the end of the day and simply hope, which is why there are three steps before bed.
One thing to try: If you have been lying awake a while, get out of bed and read something dull. Not the phone, and not a coffee.
