Maya has had a diverse career that’s been entirely focused on her passion for promoting STEM education and helping children succeed. Before joining the Society, she founded The Global Fund for Children (GFC), a nonprofit whose mission is to help grassroots organizations scale and deepen their impact to reach more children in need. Maya has also written and published nearly 20 children’s books, served on multiple non-profit boards, and taught college-level social innovation and public policy courses at Duke University and Johns Hopkins.
