Metabolic Syndrome and Erectile Dysfunction can be directly related! You can reverse it!

As we age, we noticed bodily changes but also lipid panels.

Metabolic Syndrome: must have 3 of 5 of criteria to have MS:

Five signs of metabolic syndrome:

-A large waist: Waist size: Men greater than 40 inches, women greater than 35 inches

-A high triglyceride level

-Reduced HDL or “good” cholesterol. Men’s HDL less than 40, women HDL less than 50

-Increased blood pressure: Levels 130/85 mm Hg or higher

-Elevated fasting blood sugar

This is so important because if this is not affecting it yet, it will eventually effect the erectile function, strength and quality. About 1/3 Americans have Metabolic Syndrome over the age of 50.

The abdominal fat puts weight on the arteries and causes loss of blood flow which leads to erectile dysfunction which can lead to heart diseases and strokes.

If you notice weight changes or weight around the belt area, reduce stress, get active, eat healthier, decreases alcohol consumption, and do something to reverse Metabolic Syndrome.
