Description
The Morton ghost, later known as the Cheltenham ghost is said to be one of the best records of an apparitional haunting on record. It was first published in the proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research in 1892 under the title 'Record of a Haunted House' by R.C.Morton. Morton was actually Rosina Despard who was a teenager when she published her report. As is usual the actual location was kept secret by the SPR but was revealed in 1948 when all those involved were dead.
