Special Needs Child Drowned While Foster Mom Was on The Phone: Prosecutor
Description
Hailynn Volpatti faces a felony charge in Indiana after the Clay County prosecutor said she left her special needs foster daughter in a bathtub with her 4-year-old sons unsupervised and the girl drowned. Nova Bryant was 21 months old in June when she died after being on life support for more than three weeks. Court documents state Volpatti admitted to leaving the children in the tub as she talked on the phone. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy looks at the case in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.
