Pop Shop Podcast 10/9/14: Ask The Pop Shop, Carrie Underwood, Lorde, Adele
Description
Jason is on vacation this week, so Keith is joined by special guest Gary Trust (Billboard's associate director of charts/airplay) for a charts-filled Pop Shop Podcast. Keith and Gary break down Blake Shelton's second No. 1 album, Bringing Back The Sunshine, how Adele's 21 album has reached a new major sales milestone and what albums are on the horizon that might be blockbuster sellers. They also discuss how women dominate the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 for a record fifth straight week, and why women are doing so well at top 40 radio; how Carrie Underwood blasts onto the Hot 100 with her new single, "Something In the Water," and Lorde also arrives with her latest, "Yellow Flicker Beat."
