Proverbs 12:24

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. 

MENTAL ACUMEN IS NOT FOR THE SLOTHFUL AND THE IDLE. DANIEL WORKED HARD AND EXCELLED IN EVERYTHING HE DID.

Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬

“In all labor there is profit…

Daniel 6:3-5

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. 4¶Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. 5Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Colossians 3:22-24

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: 23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 

Ecclesiastes 9:10

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

OUR WORLD 🌍 WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE IF OUR YOUTHS WOULD BE INDUSTRIOUS. THE GREATEST CURSE OF OUR TIME IS THAT OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MAKE MONEY WITHOUT WORKING.

1 Kings 11:28

And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.

Proverbs 22:29

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. 

WHILE DANIEL WAS BUSY WITH HIS STUDIES AND THE KING’S BUSINESS HE DID NOT NEGLECT TO DILIGENTLY FILL  HIS MIND WITH THE WORD OF GOD. THIS WAS THE SECRET OF IMPROVING HIS MENTAL CAPACITY.

Daniel 9:2-3

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. 3¶And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes

Men are changed in accordance with what they contemplate. If commonplace thoughts and affairs take up the attention, the man will be commonplace. If he is too negligent to obtain anything but a superficial understanding of God’s truth, he will not receive the rich blessings that God would be pleased to bestow upon him. It is a law of the mind, that it will narrow or expand to the dimensions of the things with which it becomes familiar. The mental powers will surely become contracted, and will lose their ability to grasp the deep meanings of the word of God, unless they are put vigorously and persistently to the task of searching for truth. – {Fundamentals of Christian Education p.126.2}

MEDIA HAS DWARFED THE MINDS OF MANY BY INSTILLING UNPRODUCTIVE, CORRUPT AND IMMORAL THOUGHTS 

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
