Do you remember Halloween II from 1981? This one was panned for being less scary, more gory, and a ton more blood. We don't see the problem with any of that but people back in 81 did. We don't remember much about this movie, other than it takes place right where the original ended. It also takes place in a hospital and Jamie Lee Curtis got a bigger paycheck and basically laid in a hospital bed the entire film.
