There are thoughts on what a Podcast needs to be. As much as I enjoy a studio-produced show - there are gems out there that I could care less about production quality because the quality of the show itself and the content provided is beyond golden.
Coin and Concede is a great example:

The Angry Geeks are among my favorites out there:

Joanie Brosas also has a Podcast that she puts a ton of effort into and it is gaining a lot of traction : https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-jobro-show/id1498017696
What about Co-Anchors? You can share a show and I know many that do. It’s usually a mutual agreement but you do not need to be in the same space as your co-anchor. You can do just about everything remote and you can share the cast so it’s less work for both of you.
Just remember to be authentic to who you are and what your show is about - it's the quality of the program, not the frosting that keep everyone coming back for more.
