Men and Women of Faith and Courage, Miriam: Failure 😨 to Accept God’s Reversal of the Pecking Order

Micah 6:4

For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

GOD REVERSED THE PECKING ORDER IN THE FAMILY OF MIRIAM. SHE WAS THE OLDEST FOLLOWED BY AARON YET THE YOUNGEST MOSES WAS MADE THE LEADER

Daniel 4:37

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

MIRIAM GOT INTO SERIOUS TROUBLE WANTING TO MANIPULATE MOSES. SHE WAS HIS BIG SISTER WHO HAD TAKEN CARE OF HIM IN THE RIVER NILE, SHE WAS ALSO A PROPHETESS THEREFORE MOSES SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT WITH HER BEFORE IMPLEMENTING ANYTHING. THE CHURCH IS SUFFERING TO DAY BECAUSE OF PARALLEL OUTSIDE LEADERS WHO MUST GIVE A NOD TO EVERYTHING HAPPENING IN THE CHURCH

Numbers 12:1-2

And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

Numbers‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭

“Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”

Numbers 12:9-11

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. 10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. 11And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

He who has placed upon men the heavy responsibility of leaders and teachers of His people will hold the people accountable for the manner in which they treat His servants. We are to honor those whom God has honored. The judgment visited upon Miriam should be a rebuke to all who yield to jealousy, and murmur against those upon whom God lays the burden of His work. - {Patriarchs and Prophets p. 386}

LET GOD BE GOD IN THE CHOOSING OF LEADERS IN THE CHURCH AND IN THE NATION
