Jesus wants his people to persevere in faith and in prayer as we await his return. And so he builds our confidence to appeal to God for justice, protection, and the final end of all evil. Our confidence to pray is in the character of God, our standing with him, his long-suffering, and the promise of Jesus. Jesus closes the parable with a pointed question to us - do we believe?
