I. The relationship of Jesus to the law of God: he came not to abolish it, but to fulfill it, vv17-18. II. The relationship of his disciples to the law of God: we are to keep it and teach it, v19. III. The relationship of the scribes and Pharisees to the law of God: their righteousness was superficial and skin deep.
