Take Aways
-Christina Elizabeth Bohn was diagnosed with PMDD about 11 years after having symptoms.
-Christina's mother, Marybeth Bohn, has advocated for more awareness about PMDD in the hopes that women will be diagnosed within a few months.
-Missouri held their first PMDD Awareness Day in October of 2023
-Christina is an inspiration in that she sought help and did all she could to try and figure things out.
-"PMDD is a great liar and thief. My husband and I witnessed how PMDD lied to our daughter every month, convincing her she was worthless, and we saw how PMDD stole everything from her. Had doctors and nurses known about PMDD and had asked her about her menstrual cycle, she might have received appropriate treatment options earlier." -Marybeth Bohn
