🔥 The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs, including those from Fidelity Investments, ARK, Invesco US, Grayscale Investments, and iShares, to trade options on the NYSE. This allows institutional investors to use options as a tool to hedge their Bitcoin positions. Options are derivatives enabling the buying or selling of assets at a fixed price within a set timeframe. BlackRock's BTC ETF recently received similar approval for options trading. 🚨The stablecoin market, currently valued at $172.7 billion, has seen a significant drop in transfer volumes since May 2024, declining from a peak of $3.6 trillion to $1.2 trillion in October. Despite some growth in the market's value, with stablecoins primarily issued on Ethereum (48.9%) and Tron (34.92%), transfer activity has slowed due to a shift in sentiment, reduced speculative trading, and regulatory pressures.
