Have You Tried Being Ransom for the Others?

Have You Tried Being Ransom for the Others?

Published 1 year, 7 months ago
Description
That is what Jesus did when He became flesh and assumed our human nature. He was as human as we are, except having any sins. He became man so He could be useful in buying us back from the devil, who kidnapped us from the graces of God. The serpent succeeded in getting us to sin. We were members of Satan's kingdom. But God did not give up on us. He redeemed us. He got us back by being ransom for our salvation. Furthermore, He needed to pay the price with His Blood on the Cross. Have we tried that before? For our children, for our parents, for our beloved ones, etc. We sacrifice ourselves for them and so that they could enjoy some comforts we were denied in the past. This is the basis of the lesson Our Lord taught His followers to be servants of the others, rather than commanders of the others, wanting them to serve us instead. Authority among the followers of Jesus is like that. We have more authority in so far as we serve the others.
