means to stop resisting or fighting against something, usually because the pressure is too much. It means to surrender or agree to something after initially resisting it.
Examples:
1- In a famous moment, Steve Jobs never gave in when people doubted the success of the iPhone, and it became revolutionary.
2- After vowing to stick to his diet, Greg gave in to temptation when he saw a triple-chocolate brownie. The brownie won that battle!
