Peeping Tom Killed Two Mother-Daughter Pairs in Maryland
Published 1 year, 6 months ago
Description
This episode recounts the investigation into the murders of two sets of mothers and daughters in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The investigation began with the discovery of Karen and Karissa Lofton's bodies in their home, followed by the burned bodies of Delores and Ebony DeWitt found in a car trunk. Detectives initially faced few leads, but a break came with the arrest of Jason Scott, a seemingly mild-mannered UPS employee, on weapons charges. A search of his home revealed a trove of videos showing Scott’s darker side, including evidence linking him to the murders. The discovery of physical evidence at “The Spooky House,” a location Scott mentioned in connection with his burglaries, further incriminated him. Eventually, Scott was arrested and sentenced to 85 years for the DeWitt murders. While investigators believed Scott was responsible for the Lofton murders as well, they didn’t pursue charges due to sufficient evidence already existing in the DeWitt case.
