Morning Mantra: “If you stress too much about something before it happens, you put yourself through it twice.”

It is good to be prepared for that final exam, job presentation or interview, the event you are hosting, a horse show, or whatever it is you are getting ready to do, but try not get stressed about it.

Stress is caused by your mind and worry is created by your thoughts about the situation. Stress will not help; it will just make you feel bad leading up to it and during it.  Actually, it can lower your confidence and affect the outcome negatively.

Learn behaviors or habits that let you release the stress like walking in nature, meditation, Qigong, or anything that helps you stay in the present moment as stress and worry are focused in the future.

Try to remember that all you can do is your best. Then let the outcome be what it is.
Life isn’t as serious as your mind makes it out to be.
