And for Southern Nassau - Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach - it's a repeat of the high rip current risk, 3-foot surf, and cloudy weather with temps in the upper 60s. The winds are also from the east at 15 to 20 mph.

Down in Southwestern Suffolk - Gilgo State Park and Robert Moses State Park, we have the same story of a high rip current risk, 3-foot surf, and cloudy conditions. Temperatures are slightly cooler in the mid 60s, with stronger east winds around 20 mph.

And finally in Southeastern Suffolk - Smith Point, Cupsogue Beach, Hither Hills State Park, and Ditch Plains area, the rip current risk is high with around 4-foot surf and chances of rain. Surf temperatures are in the mid 60s, with east winds at 15 mph.

Remember, if you're hitting the waves, always swim near a lifeguard and have a flotation device handy. And if caught in a rip current, stay calm and float. For more safety tips and UV Index info, check out the link provided.
