EP 173 - Our Failing Healthcare System with guest Lara Tritton O'Neil, APRN

Episode 173 Published 1 year, 5 months ago
Description

Our healthcare system is failing. Our life expectancy in the USA is getting shorter (even before Covid), and chronic disease is expanding, especially in our children. Lara O'Neil, APRN left the medical 'system' to start her own integrative pediatric practice, blending the best of conventional and integrative medicine.

The medical system is no longer controlled by the doctors, but by the insurance companies that pay them, the pharmaceutical companies that incentivize them, and the owners of the hospitals and large clinics that seem to value profit or people.

Lara is the author of "Rescuing Ourselves: A Story of Love, Healing and Resilience Through Integrative Medicine". Through this personal transformation journey, shared expertise and vision, one can clearly see the future of a better healthcare system that values the body, mind and soul. Explored through the lens of authenticity, vulnerability, passion and a deep love for her work, the reader will find themselves immersed in the journey with her, and find themselves laughing to crying and everything in-between, but most of all, hopeful.

Lara has 30 years working with children and their families. She has had the privilege of experiences in home care, hospitals, school settings, primary care pediatric office, and now owning her own thriving integrative pediatric and family wellness center.
