Gretchen Courting shares her journey of recovery after over a decade of active addiction. She dabbled in many substances, but her drug of choice was heroin. Alcoholics Anonymous helped her get sober 12 years ago, but today Jesus helps her stay sober. We engaged in a fun discussion about how recovery looks different for everyone, including the pros and cons of AA, and how we choose to identify in sobriety today. Gretchen talks about how she found the right church community and its blessings upon her family. She also gets into how faith played a part in the decision to homeschool her kids.
