THE BIBLE strongly implies that there are gods of specific territories, such as the princes of Persia and Greece mentioned in Daniel 10. What happens when large groups of people move from their homeland to a new place?

We discuss the gods of the nations in the context of the Greek word translated “nations” in the New Testament, ethnos, the word from which we get “ethnic” and “ethnicity.” In other words, when people who worship a god move to a new place, does that spirit follow?
