We update two stories that we have covered regarding the war in Ukraine, one of them that we got right, another that we got wrong. Guest Yael Ossoski joins to give a European point of view to the crisis, and how being only a few hours from a shooting war is being perceived, and is western media accurately portraying the European response. Yael talks about the refugee crisis that is building as Ukrainians stream west to escape the conflict, how the EU isn't prepared to handle that, and how Russian aggression is changing the EU's perspective and policies for the future. Also, Yael talks about how technology like BitCoin and Tor servers are playing a role and changing how conflicts are fought and covered. We also talk about Supreme Court nominee Judge Jackson, and touch on our friend Em Carpenter's writing about how some of the online narratives forming against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson are not only unfounded, but actually highlight some of her strongest arguments for being confirmed to the bench. We finish off the program with a trip to Flavortown, but not for the food, but the charitable giving and work of one of the biggest stars in the world of food.
