Del Walker explains why things like the CROWN Act are important and how things like discrimination affect jobs, opportunities, and identity. We discuss the history of minorities in West Virginia and greater Appalachia and the importance of getting all of history told for all of us. Del. Walker also talks about her personal experience of making West Virginia home, legislating in a super minority and still finding ways to get things done, and directly addresses the contention of society needing to be "colorblind" both as an elected official and in a very personal way. Also, we end on some good news as a bill that is very near and dear to Del Walker's heart brought overwhelming support from both sides of the House of Delegates, and the emotional signing into law something that will save lives and honor a legacy.
