Relativism and truth have long been debate, but an interesting piece in The New Atlantis argues that during therapy is not the time for the former and that a dose of the latter is called, we'll talk about it and see what real world implications there are to writing by James Mumford. Also, after COVID being particularly brutal on service sector employees, new data is out that hints part of the labor issue falls to some old fashioned bad management, we'll talk how shift workers are getting the shaft on scheduling. Our guest today is Daniel Di Martino, not only a Young Voices contributor but also heading up the exciting and important Dissident Project. Daniel tells his own story of how a communist dictatorship took his native Argentina from a vibrant and thriving country to economic ruin in just a handful of years, his immigration to the United States, and the perspective the freedom here gives to his homeland, and the warnings his native country's struggles should have for a prosperous and free America. Daniel also puts his economics education to use in explain how the Chavez/Maduro dictatorships seized power by controlling Argentina's economy, voting themselves unlimited power, and the probably lifelong suffering of that country's people ever since. Then, he discussed the launch of the Dissent Project, and effort to have real world, first hand experienced speakers go out and tell the true stories of what living under communism is really like.
